Background:
I grew up in Munster, IN and then Kokomo, IN and went to college in West Lafayette, IN at Purdue University. I graduated and moved to Indianapolis and lived with my Grandma Campbell. While I lived there she taught me to cook from scratch and to this day I prefer homemade cooking! I got a position as the manager of Cloth World after college and then married Purdue Pete (David). We moved to Greenwood, IN and I switched to being a manager of Fashion Bug in Franklin, IN. The hours were long so I switched to banking at Citizens Bank so I could see my husband occasionally. I worked in several departments at the bank and left to start our family. Lucy arrived and I became a stay at home mom. I started taking Precept Bible Courses by Kay Arthur with a great teacher at Center Grove Presbyterian. Then about a year and a half later along came Tommy. I decided to go back to work part time and became a Parent’s Day Out teacher at our church. Then our church started a preschool and I filled many positions while there including teacher. Our kids were now both at MCA and I needed to go to work full time so I came back to banking where I am currently an administrative assistant for a financial advisor at Citizens Bank. I also work in the Before School Care program each morning very early! I love being the room mom and have gotten to know our kids’ teachers better through this role through the years! Finally I am currently the co-leader with Liz Osborn for Junior Girl Scout Troop #1955 and am very proud of the things they accomplish. I look forward to continuing all my positions at school and love being part of the MCA family.
Testimony:
I grew up in the Catholic Church and have always attended church. I accepted Jesus as my personal savior when I was confirmed in eighth grade. Because bible study was not part of my education at St. Joan of Arc I didn’t start studying the bible and having a relationship with Jesus until I began attending the Presbyterian Church in 1993 with my husband David. I feel like a kindergartner but am much better after six years of precept studies and bible study fellowship. I always learn something new about myself with each study and look forward to taking more classes in the future. We have recently been attending church at Centenary United Methodist Church and we are getting to know everyone through the dinners that are served monthly. My spiritual gift is helping so if anyone needs anything…I can usually do it or find someone for you! I am very blessed by my family and also my school family. It’s great to get to know parents with a similar goal of raising children to love the Lord!
