Role at MCA: 5th Grade Teacher # Years with MCA: 4 Nickname: Miss “M” Pets: Molly (Cat) Favorites:
(chorus)"There is love in the red letters Home town: Beavercreek, Ohio Hobbies: Reading, playing Guitar Hero or Mario Kart, watching Lost, hanging out with friends. Background: I am from Beavercreek, Ohio but spent part of my childhood years in Kingston, Jamaica and Fort Wayne, Indiana. My dad is a Pastor at Creekside Community Church in Ohio and my mom is a substitute teacher. I have two younger brothers and a sister-in-law. My brother, Justin, is a professional baseball player (Cleveland Indians) and his wife, Meryl, just started a cookie making business (www.merylscookies.com). My youngest brother, Jon, is in the process of finding a job and is enjoying his time off. I also have a cute, black kitty named Molly. I attended Bethel College in Mishawaka, IN and received my BA in elementary education. After I graduated, I taught pre-kindergarten for one year at The Goddard School in Beavercreek and am now in my fourth year of teaching 5th grade at MCA. Testimony: I accepted Christ when I was about 6 years old and was raised in a Christian home with two loving parents. I attended public school for elementary, junior high, and high school. I am glad that God provided me with a good group of Christian friends at school who were involved in all the right things. They helped me to stay strong in my beliefs and even challenged me in my walk. I want to be able to encourage others to stay strong in their faith and feel blessed that God has provided the opportunity here at MCA. Together with God's help we can create strong children of God who are confident in themselves, their beliefs, and most of all, they know this confidence comes from having a relationship with God. |
