At the end of the school year the students will recognize numbers 1-20, count 1-100 (or higher), count objects to 20, recognize all capital and lower case letters, read a blend with short vowel, read one-vowel word and the sight word the . During their learning center time, they will do many hands on activities from painting to exploring in water, beans, sand etc.
They do many activities relating to the weekly thematic units including field trips. Their field trips include a trip to Anderson Orchard, Mooresville Fire Department, Mooresville Public Library, Pizza Hut, Indianapolis Zoo, an occasional theater production, and a local park for our graduation/fun day.
