MCA Junior High students will have one semester of grammar and writing skills. They have an opportunity to write in different styles and for several writing contests. They will then have a semester of literature where they will read several novels and learn to identify and use many literary devices. Spelling and vocabulary is throughout the entire year. Over the course of the three years, they will do poetry notebooks, dioramas, posters, research papers, essays, short stories, speeches, and an occupation portfolio. All students participate in the ACSI Speech Meet in March that is held here at MCA.
