Each child makes a portfolio so that at the end of the year students can see their progress and have some mementos from the year. Students draw, paint, color, cut and paste. Three dimension drawing is studied, and art history is interwoven in our projects. They study the evolving architecture of the American house. During warmer weather, they will go outside for clay modeling and nature drawing. An important part of art class is developing listening skills and learning to follow directions. I believe all children, with self-discipline, have the ability to become visually creative when given time, the right tools, and experiences. This will open a whole new avenue of how their gifts can be used by God for His Kingdom.
