Academics are of utmost concern to MCA. In addition to the regular classroom education, we also have various clubs and activities to enhance the education of your children.
These are academic competitions with other Christian Schools. Some of the competitions are math, science, speech, writing, art and spelling.
Math Counts
MathCounts is a national math competition with local and state sections. Each year, eight interested junior high students practice challenging math problems in preparation for the competition. MathCounts problems are in accordance with the standards of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, on which MCA's curriculum is based.
MathCounts excites students about math and stretches their thinking with new topics. In addition, the competition structure teaches students how to work in groups to solve problems. It is thoroughly an excellent competition!
